Better define these spatial nodes with thoughtful floor transitions & tailored cabinets/furniture. Unique massing of wall planes/openings help maintain an appropriate sense of scale by creating opportunities with art niches, shared light, views that connect, and screening that paces visual/traffic flow. Subdued paint colors rest peacefully with warm/natural base elements.
Work Scope.
New cherry wood/composite floor, fireplace, & light fixtures. Contemporary maple cabinets. Silestone combined with plastic laminate surface/wood edge countertops.

Avoid the typical and un-sensitive ‘slap-on.’ Take cues from the 1940 structure, navigate sensible traffic flow and create enjoyable spaces. Keep the feeling of open bring the green/sky inside. Adjustable light levels.

Lower level Finish-Out.
Design Objectives.
Create a functional and flexible workout space, private and comfortable entertainment room, friendly guestroom, and full bathroom. Lower level entry and use should not feel like a basement. Improve efficiency/adjustability of mechanical systems.
Work Scope.
Open stairwell. Smooth-out extreme wall texture. Convert wood burning fireplace to gas. Add double casement egress window with cedar timber well. Landscape accordingly. Upgrade HVAC system (Venmar Duo 1.9, Lenox G61 MPV 94% furnace, Honeywell PC 8900 integrated controls).
