Design Objectives:
Combine aesthetics, functionality, and artisanship to ready a home for a new era of fine living while preserving the integrity of the 1948 Bauhaus inspired design. Provide a scaled master suite addition complementing the two-acre lakeshore property.
Work Scope:
Integrate master suite addition (841s.f.) while upholding the structural integrity of the main level; spray applied polyurethane foam provides the necessary insulation/R-value for this new volume.
Custom mill gumwood for master suite and reconstructed spaces. Rift-cut white oak cabinets mix with reclaimed gumwood accents
Recycle exterior’s redwood siding; replace with clear 1x4” tongue-and-groove vertical cedar. Restored or rebuilt all mechanical systems. Upgraded with new septic/water filtration systems.
